LEAF: Medium green; banana-like; up to 8 feet long by 18 inches wide

FLOWER: Looks like a bird. About 8 inches long. White on the top with blue bracts. Not as showy as the Orange Bird of Paradise. Although the flower is quite attractive, this plant is grown primarily for the foliage.

GROWING CONDITIONS

LIGHT: Medium shade to full sun

WATER: Once established, low water requirements. Ideal is once a week.
