PLANT TYPE: Shrub

AVERAGE SIZE: 3 to 5 feet tall by 2 to 4 feet wide.

GROWTH RATE: Fast

LEAF: Dark olive green; narrow, linear, pointed; about 4 inches long by 3/4 inch wide; grey-green underside. [Note: Sap can cause skin irritation.]

FLOWER: Showy pink; terminal

GROWING CONDITIONS

LIGHT: Light shade to full sun. Flowers best in full sun.

WATER: Once established, low water requirements. Considered moderately drought tolerant.

CARE: Prune to maximize blooming. If young plants develop "suckers", remove them to prevent bloom inhibition. Fertilize in March, June, and October. Click here for fertilizer coupon!
