PLANT TYPE: Shrub

AVERAGE SIZE: 3 to 12 feet tall by 2 to 10 feet wide. Most commonly seen in the 3 foot range.

GROWTH RATE: Medium

LEAF: Medium to dark green or reddish brown; 1 to 2 inches long

FLOWER: Insignificant; Gets edible berries.

GROWING CONDITIONS

LIGHT: Medium shade to full sun.

WATER: Once established, low water requirements. Ideal is once a week.

A beautiful, easy-to-maintain hedge plant     *native plant

Cocoplum is one of the best and most common hedges in south Florida. It is easier to maintain than the more popular Ficus. It does not grow as fast, which means it requires less trimming.

Used for formal and natural hedges, Cocoplum is most commonly seen as the "Red tip" cultivar.

Note: Cocoplum's berries are edible.
